• Personality

  Daunte is a shining example of a prideful hero who does things regardless of the cost. Protecting those who can't protect themselves is something that he strives to do as often as possible, but only on the condition that they deserved to be saved. Unfortunately he is very jaded at times and will often even completely disregard a situation if he believes the ones in danger put themselves in that position. This does however lead to guilt afterwards in the event that the people he had the opportunity to save were indeed innocent, or even the thought that maybe they were and he'll never really know.
  
  At his core though Daunte is a kind soul. While it's fairly hard to get close to him in the first place, the few who manage to accomplish such a feat will find themselves with someone who holds undying loyalty. He values his close friends and family above all else to such an extreme extent that he will knowingly go against his own moral values if it means assisting someone close. This does lead to an extreme amount of conflicted thoughts running through his head afterwards, but he would follow through in the moment without hesitation.
  
  One of the critical flaws of the male is his ability to be manipulated. Despite his jaded view of the world he is quite naive in his perception of situations. It's often not a difficult task to simply trick or manipulate him into doing something for you on false pretenses. That extends even further if you happen to be someone close to him who he would blindly listen to. The only apprehension towards using him in such a way is the fallout if he happens to find out that he was being directed with lies. It is one of the few things that truly makes him lose his temper and lash out driven by pure hatred or rage.
  
  Perhaps his largest problem lies in his prideful arrogance. If there is one thing that often lands Daunte in trouble it's his attitude when he knows he's good at something. This is usually accompanied with sarcastic humor and a general haughty air. Generally it leads him into recklessness, but it does give him the unique advantage of absolute confidence in certain situations where one might not feel so concrete.
  
  In short: Daunte is an arrogant anti-hero driven by personal morals which perhaps stray into darker views, and a deep connection to those he cares about that is born of a loyalty backed love.

• Appearance

  Daunte is an unusually well built male with pitch black hair as dark as a moonless sky without stars. His hair tends to be rather spiked at times in a wild sort of fashion, but assumes a more lengthy straight look when not intentionally kept styled. The most notable features one usually notice are his non-human aesthetics. Melding with the darkness of his hair very well are two furry lupine ears atop his head. He also sports a particularly fluffy tail which also matches his naturally dark hair/fur color.
  
  For appearances though Daunte usually wears very flashy outfits. One will either find him donning particularly edgy blacks for everyday use that have a certain undeniable flair to them, or occasionally he will be wearing gaudy robes with shining armor underneath them. His robed armor consists of dazzling golds and mysterious purples that look fit for a noble or perhaps even a king.

• History

  From a young age Daunte Nakriin, first born of Vengharl and Zephira Nakriin and only child of the family, was very inquisitive. Not only was he this way because of his own personality, but his parents encouraged him to question everything. "Knowledge is a power unlike any other. Sometimes the quickest way to victory is through information." That's what his mother told him growing up as soon as he was old enough to understand the words.
  
  It was due to this ignition of his imagination fueled curiosity that he often explored his surroundings without so much as a word of warning. Because of this desire to learn about the world, around the age of six he often found himself within the grounds of the main Nakris family; the head of which some of the family trees branched from.
  
  An older female by the name of Yusoi caught his eye, a powerful dragon tamer the likes of which young Daunte had never seen or heard about. He watched her with curious eyes, studying the way she presented herself in awe. Each night he'd return to see what she was up to, or what he could catch being spoken about before rushing back home to avoid worrying his parents.
  
  It wasn't long, but a few short years, before Daunte was bold and competent enough to approach Yusoi. The boy explained to her how he admired so many things about her incredible prowess with dragons and how he found it all so amazing. Yusoi regaled him with her exploits, and Daunte could not hear enough. Intrigued and amazed by the girl he found himself returning late at night to hear about all the things she did on her adventures, most stories only strengthening his desire for more.
  
  As he got older Yusoi's tales and strength became an anchor point of motivation for the young boy. As his father pushed him ever harder to train to become the warrior he wanted him to be, Daunte went even further of his own wishes. He trained as hard as he possibly could over the next few years, only stopping during nightfall to talk with Yusoi as much as he could. Occasionaly during his late night visits he'd see a girl, who was referred to as Chisaki, and she was one of the few people who caught his eye like Yusoi. Despite that though, he never had a proper chance to introduce himself without getting in a lot of trouble or worse. Daunte continued his trips, both to see Yusoi as per usual, but also to hopefully catch a glimpse of the young girl again.
  
  One night however Yusoi's tone seemed more somber, quite a stark difference than her usual joyous and playful tone used around Daunte. She gave the young boy a rather large blade, about as large as he was himself but lighter than it would seem on first glance, and told him that it was him. Yusoi explained to him that the sword would be there for him even if she could not be, and that should he ever need help to call upon it. Daunte didn't understand what was going on, and was worried by the sudden shift in personality he was so used to, but he graciously accepted the weapon. While the rest of the night went as planned, the young boy couldn't help but feel like something was off.
  
  For the next few days things were the same, but eventually... Yusoi wasn't there. Panic seemed to be prevalent through the family's compound, and due to the increased security during that time he wasn't able to get much closer. Finally things calmed down, however Yusoi was still gone.
  
  Daunte checked back in every day for the first few months, just to see if she would be back, but she never was. He kept the sword close as a reminder of her, especially because he was almost certain something bad had happened. it was the only thing that would explain her sudden absence, and the words she told him seemed to support that.
  Over the next few years he continued his training, only now he was using the blade gifted to him by Yusoi. It drove his desire to one day become as strong as her even further, fueling his passion to be more than what he currently was. However eventually he found he could not train under the sheltered circumstances his family offered any longer. At the age of sixteen he set out on his own, leaving the pleasures, comforts, and luxuries of home behind. Daunte knew that he needed to test his mettle against the cold steel of the world on his own.
  
  Because of his training with his family, and many things he was taught by Yusoi, demon and dragon hunting seemed like the proper direction to head in. It was the family business after all, for both the Nakriin and the Nakris family. Daunte started off with smaller hunts that needed done, dragons or demons who no longer saw fit to restrain themselves. While he had nothing against any of the races of the world, senseless destruction was not something he would stand for. And considering it paid a hefty amount of money for such dangerous jobs it made sens for him to pursue that line of work.
  
  For the first two or so years things went well, but one job proved to be too much for him. Daunte found himself face to face with a massive ancient dragon that seemed to have lost its mind. It fought with the ferocity of an animal, but with all the strength, power, and agility of a dragon. Considering that it was the largest prey he had ever set his sights on as well, it turned out to be a near death experience.
  
  Going to toe-to-toe with what he considered at the moment to be death itself, he finally caved his pride in: Daunte asked the sword for help, as stuipid of notion as he thought that might be. It was the last thing he could think of to possibly save himself from the beast. He knew he should have trained more before taking it on, but he thought he was ready... Unfortunately he had been wrong.
  
  Just as he thought his strength was going to wane versus the massive beast, a deep rumbling voice that spoke with a certain hawty arrogance about it resonated in his mind; it was like his thoughts were somehow speaking to him. "It took you this long to ask huh? Hmm... I like you kid. I see why she thought you were worthy of me now. My name is Razi'kel. Let us dispose of this poor excuse for one of my kind," it growled, and Daunte could almost see a dragon smirking. It was then he realized what the sword was. It held the soul of a celestial dragon; one of Yusoi's celestial dragons.
  
  Daunte's strength seemed to flare to life higher than it ever had been, his finger tips crackling with electricity as his magic hit levels he had never felt before. The sword seemed to ignite in a brilliant light, and for once the blade looked like something worthy of the girl he held so much admiration for. With a now confident grin as his mind and Razi'kel's melded into one, each swing of the mighty dragon-infused greatsword carrying with it the force of a celestial dragon.
  
  It was mere moments before their adversary was defeated and the swords light returned to the darkness that it previously was. "You have a lot to learn, but your determination shines like that of a blazing star. We are as one now, and as such you shall not be alone again. Come, let us set forth and make legends worthy of a celestial dragons such as myself," the dragon in Daunte's mind spoke, and with the new feeling of unity he felt with Razi'kel he couldn't agree more with the celestial dragon. The two continued training together, mastering their ability to work as a unit, and making their name known, as Yusoi had once done.
